I had pr contacts via pr with winpack users, noticed very strange
parameters....frame acknowledge after 5 seconds (!!!!!!), asking a dir
results in sending 1 (one!!!!!) line per frame, if the station already is
connected to an other HAM you can do NOTHING!!!!.....it works only ok with
a bbs when the bbs uses DAMA.

Working with a pentium 100, AGWPE 2002-10 and TSTHWIN221b all worked fine
with a tcm3105 ('Baycom') modem via digi/bbs which used DAMA.
With my (for free gift) new pentium II 150MHz however, the digi and bbs
could not read me anymore. So I swiched over to the soundcard and all ok.
Using AGWPE with AGWPE conroll of the parameters you only can work fine
with quick datatranfer when the digi/bbs uses DAMA, without that it is a
disaster!!! very stupid parameters....frame-acknowledge after 5 (!!!!!)
seconds....so without DAMA using bbs you will have to remove the .ini files
and control yourself the parameters!!!
And, when you are sending a file to a friend (HAM) and you will type to
him: NOT POSSIBLE, prg TSTHWIN says 'already connected'...stupid, all DOS
programs remame your second connection-port to xxxxxxx-1 but not TSTHWIN,
you have to configure a port with xxxxxx-1 before starting up.....
Of course I will stay at agwpe/tsthwin+soundcard, it delivers my bbs
list-selection automatic to my pms, 7preC automatic decodes 7+, all works
nice at the moment, only a pity that tsthwin does not know binairy file
handling, and fbb-boxes do also not (BinSplit, used in DL) so for that I
have to start-up another prg for downloading BS-files just over the boarder
here.....
so far my comments, have fun with packet radio!
