XVI International Trophy "Senigallia Velvet Beach"

The A.R.I Senigallia, together with the Municipality and with the Hotels
Association, yearly organizes the "Senigallia Velvet Beach"
International Trophy. Aim of the initiative is to increase the Radio activity
and to advertise Senigallia City and its environs. OM's and SWL's all over the
world can take part to the "Senigallia Velvet Beach" International Trophy.
PERIOD
Since 00.00 hrs UTC of September 5th to 20.00 hrs UTC of September 15th of every
year.
CATEGORIES AND FREQUENCIES
Foreign OM's: 3,5- 7- 14- 21- 28 MHz SSB, CW, RTTY, PSK 31;
Italian OM's: 3,5- 7 MHz SSB;
SWLs: 3,5- 7- 14- 21- 28 MHz SSB, CW, RTTY, PSK 31.
REPORTS
The ordinary members of A.R.I Senigallia, as well as the accredited OM's, will
give the RST report, the progressive number of the QSO and the QTH. The stations
connected will give only RST and QTH.
SCORE
The "Senigallia Velvet Beach" International Trophy consists in making up the
greatest number of QSO with ordinary members and accredited members of A.R.I
Senigallia; the same station can be connected during the 24 hours on each band
until a maximum of four times, one per mode.
All the QSOs made with ordinary members of A.R.I Senigallia are worth 1 point,
those ones with the accredited stations are worth 2 points, those with a jolly
station (every day a different station) are worth 3 points.
The ARI Senigallia Station IQ6SE, which can be connected during the 24 hours on each band once each day, has a value of 4 points per QSO. The special station
IO6ARI, which can be connected only once per band and per mode during the
Trophy, has a value of 5 points per QSO.
The ordinary members and those accredited of A.R.I Senigallia must wait at least
15 minutes since the last QSO made in a band, before changing band and/or mode.
The winners of both "Foreign" and "Italian" OM category are not allowed to take
part to the following 2 edition in their category, but they can participate to
the Trophy as accredited stations. After two years they will be able again to
compete in the normal ranking.
The accredited station making up the best score in the Trophy, will be given a
special prize. This prize can be won just one time by the same station. The
accredited stations should send the log of the QSO's made and they will get the
Certificate "Senigallia - Velvet Beach" for free. The total score is given by
adding the points made in each QSO. The points for the SWL's are computed in the
same way as the OM's.
LOG
The log, provided with all the QSOs, date, UTC, worked station, reports, scores,
have to be sent before November 30th. Electronic formats - files .txt or Fastlog
(software by I0XGR) - as well as packet (iq6se@ik6zde) or e-mail delivery
(arisenigallia@email.it) are recommended. Homepage:

CERTIFICATE
The "Senigallia- Velvet Beach" Certificate will be sent to all the requiring
OM's and SWL's who have achieved the following score: 30 points (Italian OM and
SWL), 5 points (foreign OM and SWL). To get the Certificate send the log
including 5 Euros to the Award Manager - P.O. Box 41, 60019 Senigallia (AN)
Italy. A qsl via bureau for each operator will be well accepted.
PRIZES
Italian OM categories, foreign OM:
1. 1 weekend complete stay for two people in hotel of Senigallia, plus the
Trophy;
2. 1 weekend complete stay for one person in hotel of Senigallia, plus the
Plate;
3. 1 weekend complete stay for one person in hotel of Senigallia, plus the
Medal.
SWL categories (Italian and foreign):
1. the Trophy;
2. the Plate;
3. the Medal.
The YL with the best result without getting other prizes will be rewarded. A
special prize will also be given to the first OM of each italian call area -
i.e. 0 (I0, IS0), 1 (I1, IX1), 2, 3 (I3, IV3, IN3), 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 - who is
not winner of other prizes.
The OMs from The Republic of San Marino and those of the Vatican City will be
included in the Italian OMs' category.
PRIZE-GIVING
The prize-giving will be in the following month of June. The program of the
event, together with the official ranking, will be sent to all the participants.
The holidays rewarded must be spent during the prize-giving.
The prizes and the certificates not taken, will be sent by mail afterwards,
if requested, with post charge.
