Hello car addicts ... and those perfect cars.
When I saw Warren KB2VXA mention in his posting to Pete G6KUI on the
"jalopes" on the "dusty tracks" <or mud> ...well those days go back
to me, going to the Bloomington Speedway, located just south of
Bloomington Indiana, for Saturday night races. Lots of engine noise
dust or mud kicked up, fire and flashes, and some names then that
went on to being famous in other racing circuits.
Nowadays, where we used to sit on the grass looking down, well it is
a no go zone. someone going too fast during a crash , actually
climbed that hill ...oops.
Surprised to see you Warren actually Go-Karting, so you have great
memorys like pete to look back on, and oh well I again regret
I never took anyone up on the offer, to go Go-Karting in a real
machine, and not want I see as rentals, which resemble lawnmowers.
Late night again last night sitting thru the Carnaval from Brasil
on the tube ... too too much. But then on the news here they
pixel out a lot of what they show ...too bad....for them I award
them the "HOWARD" in memory of .....mmmmm.... someone who closed
many Women's institutions. Hmm come to think of it wasn't there
a "HOWARD" in the three stooges? I knew a "HOWARD" actually
a Few with the name "HOWARD" ...ooh well ... "who cares".
