Hi Andy and everyone,

Seem to be getting a consensus on CPU temperature.

Both Intel and AMD run at around the same depending on roon temp. That is with
room temps in the early twenties we seem to get a CPU temp in the mid forties.
When the room temps are 25c plus the CPU is up to the late forties and with me
in a room temp of 30ish the CPU is above 50c.

The above all seem to be about spec with bios cut off, if set, at the mid
seventies.

There are always exceptions. With a Cyrix happy at 80 - 85c. apparently some
were spec at this temp. Did not know about that CPU. One cool CPU seems to run
at 38c, see other reply.

Really interesting so far, are there any other exceptions out there??

It will be interesting to see how the multi core and lower voltage, next
generation CPU's go in normal useage.

Thanks for joining the discussion Andy,

Cheers
