I have overclocked only one system and left it going too long I'm afraid!!.
Certainly my little play at overclocking raised the temp outside the
capabilities of the standard CPU fan and the cpu promptly stopped never to go
again. That sort of turned me off overclocking. Have not had the need to do it
again. I do not know what the temp of that CPU finished at, but it was too hot
to touch. By the by....

Dave thanks for entering this discussion. You are the first overclocker. Your
temp stats are interesting. You have got a stable platform, at an elevated
temp, but under the switch off temp, if set, in your bios. Well done.

Did you have to experiment to get it stable and if so what levels were not so
stable and what Temps did the CPU get to??
What advantages have you found to overclocking??
What level have you overclocked to??
What is the room temp of the computer if the board temp is 43c??
What is your cooling system, Standard or other??
What is the Highest CPU Temp you have got to and survived??

Thanks Dave look forward to the reply.

Any other OverClockers out there????

Cheers
