Echolink 6-Feb-04: To all that have replied so far.
To some of the many Echolink Users and sysops that have replied to my
posting I submit the following as Yes I know that some of you's don't
get my point at all even when I have responded to you on the radio or
in writing to you for some time as to what's has been a foot on the
Echolink system which has been leveled against our own Echolink "PC"
Users of the Echolink System by an other HOST system that is on Echolink
this I can see very clearly in your responses you do not understand
there implication to our own users.
How ever if you take the time out and spend some time on the Echolink
web site it will become apparent clearly to you in what I have said is
correct.
So I will try again and show you the discrepancies that are a foot on
Echolink PC users how are using there own Echolink system to make a
connection from a "PC" to other Echolink users and a EchoIRLP HOST systems
which is not allowing a Echolink PC User to connect to them when infact
that HOST System EchoIRLP is on line on the Echolink system through out
the world to this is what has been happening to " Echolink USERS " on
there own system which has world wide repercussion for Echolink " PC users"
using there own system to communicate through the Echolink system.
I for one think we should mandate that all " EchoIRLP systems " must be
open to "ALL" EchoLink stations world wide due the fact as it stands at
the present time " EchoIRLP systems " on the Echolink system are Excluding
"PC" users because they are not using a radio to enter the system which is
just nuts!
This is not what Echolink is all about read the Echolink web site.
This new innovation by a HOST system which is the IRLP system to wards
Echolink users can not be tolerated at all as Echolink employs " RF to PC,
PC to PC and PC to RF " of which now these EchoIRLP station are denying
" Echolink PC USERS " to make a connection with in their own system .
So then why have these EchoIRLP links on the system in the first place if
this is what thy are going to do to our own Echolink Users along with this
its a bit of a one way system in having them on Echolink if this is that
they are going to do and it defeats the point also in even having any IRLP
Gateways into the Echolink system if this is what thy are going to be doing
to our own USERS of Echolink.
These EchoIRLP links and repeater are on the Echolink system in the first
place so that " Echolink USERS and IRLP USER " could use both of these systems
in a one package.
However the Echolink system was setup to do this in the first place in that
USERS could connect " RF to PC, PC to PC and PC to RF " so what give these
EchoIRLP the right to exclude Echolink PC USERS now and dictate the terms of
use to Echolink Users in having excluding Echolink "PC" users as the IRLP
system does not allow PC connections if that then being so then do we need
these EchoIRLP on the Echolink system any way if thy are going to discriminated
against Echolink PC Users in them using ther own system which is Echolink.
Echolink users can not be open to such forms of abuse by a another host system
with in it own Echolink system its just not on.
Best Regards
