Hello to everyone, who is using Echolink, especially those
forced for whatever reason to sell their homes, and go into
one of these Senior's Homes.

As you know most of these homes, DO NOT allow ham radios or
especially antennas to be mounted anywhere, so programs like
Echolink and others give those seniors who are hams a chance
to stay on-air via the computer.

I have echolink, and have had it, since it was known as "I-link"
and I have never run into the problems I have, with a blind operator
with Echolink installed, trying to get programs to help him on-air
b use of his "F" keys.

There is a helpful bunch on Echolink sending me to this site and
the other, and assurrances tested until blue in the face...to
which I have done on both my PCs ...but once I get them over to
the white caner.... I get errors and this file is neeed and this
doesn't answer ...etc.

i have tried Echoshack, EZpad33 and ARTIe this or that....

Echoshack had a terrible voice and I never got too far with it.

EZpad.exe installed, by on use, it just showed errrors and was
dead. and all I wanted was the F keys.

This man's PC is Win98, he is on dial-up, and using a blins
program called "JAWS". The screen when ready is white on
black, and a speech module, but when I try to type in sites
not all the keys work, and it is too too big and really wired
in there to move and take home and fiddle with,

Anyhow ... I thought I would check via Packet, and see if anyone
had a blin ham that is successfully using Echolink ..maybe
using the "F" keys and their computer is setup for use by the
blind.
