Barry you are putting words into my mouth. I have never said what I
believe about the matter of peak oil one way or the other. I merely
questioned the fact that many experts Governmental and other have got
things wrong so many times that I don't take their reports as gospel. That
is all and as you should I know have steered away from discussing it or
reading the reports you provide.. You keep bringing the subject up not me.
I respect your views but it is a topic that just bores me stiff. I am just
not interested. I have other absorbing interests which I pursue daily.
Packet and pak oil have a very low priority. If you read AR or look for my
callsign n the Net you may have seen my name there concerning VHF/UHF
propagation records, a pursuit I have followed since 1955 - nearly 60
years. I have a wall covered with certificates for long distance
propagation on VHF/UHF with some from the Stanford University in
California. Some are for records I have set. We all have particular
interests and peak oil has a very low priority with me.Boring. My
interests lie elsewhere.
As I have said several times I have no interest in the topic of peak oil.
Simple. BTW I am about to buy an electric scooter since I don't live far
from my IGA and my bowling club and driving a car to them is a waste of
fuel.
I hope you can understand my stance now.We all have different interests.
Some of mind probably bre you siff. Mine is VHF/UHF DX and pipe organs and
their music a hobby which I have pursued for 79 years.. Are you interested
in classical organ music and the mechanics of the instrument?? Maybe no?
Do you get my point? Should I condemn you if you dont? DO you get MY
point?
BTW I understand the implications of simple arithmetic and not so simple
arithmetic very well indeed so don't patronise me. I taught maths for 47
years and studied statistical maths at University so don't sell me short
on that score..
You take the Bex. You might need it. Haven't seen one of those for many
years.
I hope you can understand my stance now.Each to his own.

You seem to think I am writing of the future.
I must tell you it is history. No matter what you believe you have heard
for peak crude oil occurred in 2006 !
It is not theory it is proven fact, every oil well ever drilled reaches
its
peak and then depletes.
We use each year 4 to 6 times the amount we find each year.
There is only one conclusion to that situation.
I understand your attitude Bob, you are not alone and indeed many are
unable to face the implications of simple arithmetic.
Since 2006 we have been on a plateau of production which, not just the
report I mentioned, but numbers of other have stated that depletion will
probably start around 2015 to 2017.
So Bob don't you worry, I am sure WA will go sailing on while the rest of
us queue for petrol. So have a Bex and a nice lie down.
