Oh dear, more explaining!! Two chasses, one with rig and one with power
supply switching the power supply by earthing centre tap on the
transformer. OK. Turn off rig (opening centre tap). Now put one hand on
one chassis and the other on the other. BLAM! You got it?
I got caught like that too when servicing an old radio once 50 years ago.
The rx had some diabolical method of providing 250 VDC to the radio using
two chassis, one for the receiver and one for the radio. Vibrator supply
using a car battery.  Get it? I think that radio came from Holland. It
also had a valve which had the anode on top. Radio servicemen used to
check the audio stages by touching the cap on top of the valve first in
the audio stages  hoping to hear a healthy blurp!! from the speaker. In
this case if you had the other hand on the chassis you got more than you
bargained for much to the amusement of your confederate in the shop.
