      Thanks for the interest Ian. It is strange that Google couldn't give
me the answer of a flat battery causing the placard of Post Error to come
up!
	Even the motherboard Gigabyte instruction book, does not mention Post
Errors nor where and how to replace the battery. So I was left to diagnose
the trouble myself.
	However the modern computer is mush easier, as the old ones had a battery
soldered in. In addition you might remember that they made  battery box,
that one could put AA batts in and plug it into the M/board as a
replacement   (been there and done that)
	But then one needed to know the size and number of sectors etc of the
hard disc, that needed to be entered into the bios data, as without that
it would not recognize the hard disc,
	Today however the bios automatically recognizes all peripherals and made
it easy to get going with the new bios battery.
