I too am affected by this fiasco as I use the i'net quite a lot!

THe Netservices webpage is installed on my computer.

THey advised me that I would be disconnected and offered me a reconnection

to eeze dsl within 5 hours at a cost of œ24.99p with a 12 month contract.
Eeze dsl had taken over Biskit and v21.

I have been able to send emails but not receive them for the last 2 weeks.
To try and overcome this problem I have a Hotmail address now but as I
have no internet access that too is a non starter.

My contract with V21 expires on the 23rd Nov. I have cancelled my Direct
Debit with them as I do not see why I should pay for a service I am not
getting.

The day before (Nov 5th) I logged onto the v21 customer portal and was
told that I had to send a letter requesting that for my account be
cancelled and send a MAC I had to write to an address in Edgware London.

This I did and have heard nothing since.

If you read this msg I can supply the address.

I am of the opinion that BT subcontract lines to other ISP's and have
the loop monopoly. In view of this I intend to signup with them.

BT was phoned and was told that they couldn't sign me up until I could
provide a MAC. If I contacted them again in about another 2 days they
would be able to tell me if the lock on my connection had been released.

If it had been then they could sign me up without a MAC.

In view of your comments it seems very unlikely.

THank you for your bull, I hope you will reply.
