The trouble is, a good percentage of this stuff coming from China uses a
brand name everyone use to associate with quality! Sometimes the name has
been brought out by the Chinese or someone wishing to use it to market
their goods. 

Take for example Goodmans, they use to be a British Speaker manufacture,
that went to the wall many years ago, an Asian business man bought the
name, I think its now part of Alba Industries. Now its plonked on
everything from TVs to CD players and cheap and nasty Low-FI sound
products.

Joe public buys the stuff through the power of the name, and doesn't have
a clue where its made any longer.
