I am planning to test out my father (M0WJW)'s KW201 valve receiver either
tomorrow or next weekend. Thanks to G4FAA I was able to get this receiver
refurbished. I have a phono to PL259 read to connect to a AMU and will then
just run out some wire. Hopefully I will be able to receive John G8MNY's
80m activities from my QTH in Southgate. At least on 160-20m the receiver
is reasonable. Lawrie during refurbishment noted that it was somewhat deaf
above that band.
Hoping to be able to report on what was achieved in due course.
