I have used for years but now uses an usb to serial port addapter .
I am using MMSSTV 1.11.The adapter and interface have been checked all OK.
I can stop it happening if I DO NOT CONNECT CABLES UNTIL AFTER BOOTING COMPUTER,
and starting mmsstv program. If I connect cables before booting computer,
the rig will go to TX as soon as I get an incoming signal.

Hello Vic,

Please find attached an image of a setting that could be the problem, I
think this is the only setting that also can trigger an auto TX.

Option --> setup MMSSTV --> auto TX box ???

I am not sure who originated this message, but take a look here, that
used to be a common problem
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Windows ME and RS232 push-to-talk issues

The new "Millenium" or "ME" version of Windows may cause the RS232 DTR
and RTS lines to go "high" when it loads, keying your transmitter, and
leaving it keyed. In order to address that, we've written a small
program, FIXCOM.EXE . Here's how it works:

In your AUTOEXEC.BAT or Startup group, put a reference to FIXCOM, and
specify the COM port number you want to "fix". For example,

*FIXCOM 2*

will "fix" COM2 . FIXCOM supports COM ports 1 - 8. If you use more
than one port, simply use two references, each for the desired port.
Again for example, we'll use COM1 and COM2:

*FIXCOM 1
FIXCOM 2*

You can download FIXCOM.EXE <http://www.barberdsp.com/files/fixcom.exe>
here. (~32kb)
