My worked fine with MMSSTV.

Since you seem to not have used sc_select I guess it would make it hard 
to understand. The Signalink is a piece of hardware, it has drivers. 
These drivers make the hardware usable by the computer. This allows 
sc_select to list the USB codec for the Signalink. This must be selected 
for the device to be available to MMSSTV.
