EastNet FlexNet Network News                              February 16, 2005

    Earlier today via separate bulletins updated Packet Maps for LINY, NYC,
ENY and CT were released together with an updated FlexNet Destinations list.

LINY:  The location of the N2NEI FlexNet-Digi node in the eastern area of
Suffolk County has been corrected from East Hampton to Wainscott.

NYC:  The destination call of the link from KC2COJ at Far Rockaway, Queens
County to Lakehurst, Ocean County, NJ has been changed from WT3V to the new
call of the JSARS FlexNet-Digi node, now NJ2AR.

NYC:  A new link has been added via the LHV Region Multi Channel 223.56, from
the N2NSA-9 FlexNet-Digi node at Manhattan, New York County, to the WB2ZII-9
FlexNet-Digi node at Valhala, Westchester County, NY.

ENY:  The Crystal Radio Club FlexNet-Digi node W2DMC and F6FBB BBS W2DMC-4 is
now completed and operational on site at the Rockland County EOC, Pomona, NY.
Its User port is operating on 145.51 Mhz.  It is linked via the LHV Region
Multi Channel 223.56 to the WB2ZII-9 FlexNet-Digi node at Valhala, Westchester
County and the WA2AHR FlexNet-Digi node at Mt. Beacon, Dutchess County.

ENY:  A new link has been added from the K2PUT FlexNet-Digi node at Mt. Ninham,
Putnam County, to the N1URO-8 FlexNet-Digi node at Burlington, Hartford
County, CT.

ENY:  Antenna upgrade for the KC2FTD FlexNet-Digi node and F6FBB BBS at NY
SEMO Albany has been completed and connectivty from the N2SQW site at Greene
County is now working well.  This allows forwarding of RACES traffic, NY SEMO
Hq to/from the lower counties located in the NLI and ENY regions.

CT:  FlexNet network expansion is being planned and new node construction is
scheduled to take place in Connecticut this year.  The new CT map shows some
of the new sites expected to be under construction soon.  Torrington, Bolton,
Norwich, Meriden and perhaps New London.
