Some truth i what warren write in response to Pete's bull containing an
email from David, G4EBT.

Heating for the old folks is, in fact set at UKP200 as a one off payment
for the winter but it doesn't go very far, especially since the government
capped it last year while the fuel companies have raised their prices by
31%. At best, it covers about half the cost of heating in this part of
England.

I do wish that, like David, I could keep the one room I live in at 22 deg
C - no chance!

I wondered how he knew how and where I lived than, after some though, I
remembered sending him my address probably by radio packet SP so he could
send me something by post. I had forgotten about that, especially as I
have moved since then but it only takes a bit of playing on the 'net with
progs like Google Earth to get a rough idea od where I lived and what sort
of property it was.

The double glazing and cavity wall insulation were just a couple of
guesses
that is my business but, even back then I used to invest in fleecy, all
body suits such as divers and fishermen wear. They are long gone, now I
wear track suits under my clothes and use that excellent, light weight
sleeping bag, well worth what it cost 3 years ago.

All in all I am pretty typical of an old man on a state pension, so it was
easy for EBT to work it out.

Having said the above. I am very glad I don't live in the USA and freezing
in a gutter somewhere.

I have had internet for a while now but I never ever put my real name,
address, age and certainly never, bank details on there. Even on the map
sites I put various places near me. The message from my one time friend
David has reinforced my belief. People call me paranoid but, as someone
once said "Paranoia is the safest way of life."
