Here we are tied in to the price of oil in Singapore. Hoever we produce
quite a lot of our own oil and iport from other countries (e.g.
Venezuela.) We still pay the Singapore price for this too. Don't ask me
why.I believe it ti to help conserve oil, priobably by making fuel
expensive and so the theory goes that we will use less. I don't think that
worked.
Petrol is around 95 c.p.l. here of which about half is Government excise.
It varies from state to state depending on how much dipping the state
government indulges in.
