Nah, my phone only gets used for outgoing calls.

Nobody rings me - I'm Billy No-Mates:-)

When I go to France say, the phone bill is the least of my expenses:

Holiday insurance (annual),
Car fuel to the airport - 400 mile round trip,
Car parking at the airport,
Flight charges (Ryanair most flights free for the next few months but
œ30ish airport charges),
Car hire, insurance and fuel in France,
Toll road charges (cheap),
Eating out,
Accommodation
Extra nights accommodation, meals and car hire when there's a strike
and we get stranded.

A small price to pay to be in Provence, Picardy, Normandy or Brittany.

If I make one phone call a day for ten days, at 0.75p extra for each call,
that's œ7.50 - hardly a big deal, and with PAYG, you don't get any nasty
surprises at the end of the month.

Anyway, I'm only eating into my kid's inheritance - there are no pockets
in a shroud!

And don't forget that there are people on packet who'd gladly pay for me
to go, just to get some peace and quiet for a few days. Maybe I should
set up an 'EBT holiday fund?

No worries mate - she'll be right:-)
