The Globalist Inclination

And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, "Be
fruitful and multiply and fill the earth." --God's command,
     Genesis 9:1

Now the whole earth used the same language and the same
words. It came about as they journeyed east, that they found
a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there_

They said, "Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a
tower (Babel) whose top will reach into heaven, and let us
make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered
abroad over the face of the whole earth." --Man's rebelling
     response, Gen. 11

Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the LORD
confused the language of the whole earth; and from there the
LORD scattered them abroad over the face of the whole earth.
     --God establishes separate nations

Wedged between the Biblical history of God's global flood (Noah)
and the calling of the man of faith (Abraham) through whose
linage the Savior of the world would come, is the story of Babel.
The attempt of man to, again, rebel against God's command through
unifying. The tendency was evident even in the Garden of Eden,
when Adam "joined" Eve in the sin of eating the forbidden fruit.
It is not a good unity because it is one not "under God" but
"above" or "in spite" of God. It shows the innate fallen nature
of us all to "have our own way" and disregard the command and
authority of our Maker (Isaiah 53:6). The epitome of this is to
do it "collectively" -- as in the Babel attempt and finally, at
the closing attempt in our near future predicted in the book of
Revelation under the false or "anti"christ. A world united under
a man "in the place" of God; his symbol being "666" (man created
on the sixth day). Our rebellion complete -- and Satanic (Isaiah
14:12-15). It is coming.

A world where nations have no borders, nor sovereignty, nor
separate economies. United and "lawless" (in respect to the laws
of God, 2 Thess.2:3,9-10). A world where even the natural
established by God is overturned and disdained (example: gender
and sexual norms). Where "yes" can mean "no" and "no", yes --
where truth is openly overturned with fake realities, information
and spin (Isaiah 5:20-21). This is the world in which we
presently live.

But isn't unity a good thing? Tolerance? Respecting your
neighbor -- even if he views what God calls "sin" -- as virtue or
diversity? It won't be when God brings His judgment. The Bible
says -- we did not make ourselves -- and "the earth is the Lord's
and the fullness thereof -- and all who dwell in it" (Psalm
24:1). He has given man present freedom to choose to "return to
his Maker" and obedience through His Savior-Son -- but He will
not always strive with man and his rebellion. He has appointed a
purging judgment to come (Genesis 6:3; Revelation).

Where do you stand in this conflicting world of confusion and
rebellion against the God of Scripture? It is following its
natural inclination -- that will lead to destruction (Revelation
6:16-17). It was recorded long ago. It shall come to pass.

But God will save you. Turn to Jesus; He saves His own (Matthew
1:21; John 3:16; Rev. 3:10).
