Well Pete, it seems half the newspapers in the world are owned by Murdoch
or one of his rivals. However Murdoch is or was Australian. In any case
the commentators, journalists whatever you like to call them are
Australian, live here and give their own opinions freely. However they are
human beings and their bias is evident at times. Read "personal opinions"
for "bias" if you like. I sift through what they write and accept or
reject according to the facts as I see them. Some people give them
absolute authority. I don't.
I can buy shares in West Australian Newspapers. Does that make me a press
baron?

I thought the major newspapers around the world , were owned
and operated by foreigners anyhow, and the lesser ones too
are usually part of the national chain ....thus what is written
is to sell newspapers, and well we know the rest, as I have not
bought a paper for so long, I can not remember.
