Hi Kari and readers,
You don't mention what time of day the QRM is present, an important bit
of information needed to determine propagation. 14.230 is a popular SSTV
frequency but "holds in there for hours" if continuous and unbroken
rather rules that out.
Now if you could make an mp3 recording and post it somewhere on the
Internet, perhaps someone could download the sample and analyse it. Nope,
propagation on 20M isn't very good these days so it's likely European in
origin and won't propagate very far so it's unlikely I could hear it in
NJ and try to find out for myself. BTW, a smaller sample sent via e-mail
may be sufficient for someone who can recognize it by the sound, send a
few kb to me and I'll give it my best shot, no guarantees however. (;->)
