INFORMATION REQUIRED ON MERCURY AND TASS.
Roy G0TAK, QRV Editor is seeking information on two items of equipment:
The first is Mercury on line encryption equipment as used at RAF
Stanbridge
(and presumably somewhere) else in the early 60's, technical stuff or
simply memories please.
The second is the TASS network (Teleprinter Automatic Switching System)
Also used at Stanbridge at about the same time. A civilian version of
Telex, (Grey Dalek boxes with a red and green light dome on the top)
Once again memories and techy stuff would be appreciated.
