2 PEP Air members were stood down while mustering to search for a pickup
truck with 3 male occupants that had gone sight-seeing on North or East
Beach outside of Masset and failed to return. The subjects returned on
their own having spent the night on a sandbar where they had been trapped
by the tide.

7 Golden SAR responded to report of an injured skier on the back side of
Kicking Horse Mountain. Search members were stood down on arrival when it
was discovered that the skier was uninjured.

trip between Blackcomb Mountain and Whistler Mountain. SAR members located
the subjects alive and well and brought them out of the area.

12 Fort St John SAR responded to locate an overdue driver from a drilling
company in the area between Pink Mountain and Fort St John. Search members
were stood down after RCMP advised they were able to track cell phone
calls to an area south of Fort St John and confirm the driver's location.

19 Fernie SAR members responded along with Parks Canada to rescue an ice
climber that had fallen 200' down an embankment near Little Sand Creek.
Parks Canada made several attempts to long-line the individual out
however, due to weather conditions, they were unsuccessful and were then
grounded by nightfall. Ground SAR members hiked in and were able to
access, package and transport the subject out to BCAS for transport to
hospital.

the Hidden Lake area east of Enderby. SAR members were stood down while en
route to the rescue hall following confirmation from RCMP that the subject
was accounted for by a family member.

8 Campbell River SAR members and 7 Comox Valley SAR members were ferried
by Coast Guard Vessel to Cortez Island to search for a woman who became
lost while picking salal. Search members were stood down the following
morning when the female was located after spending the night in an
abandoned cabin, she was wet and cold but otherwise okay.

13 Alberni Valley Rescue Squad members mustered to travel to Nitnat Lake
and search for 3 boaters who had gone crabbing and failed to return. The
vehicle belonging to one of the subject's was located at the boat launch
with no signs of the boat. SAR members were stood down by RCMP prior to
leaving the rescue hall when the subjects were located in a floating cabin
on the lake, they were cold and wet but overall in good condition.

snowmobiler in the Puntzi Lake area after it was reported that the
subject's snowmobile had broken through the ice of a pond. RCMP stood them
down prior to responding as they managed to locate the subject in good

and injured ATV rider from the 7 Mile Forest Service Road following a
motor vehicle accident. SAR responded with 2 members from the snowmobile
club to transport BCAS members in to assess and package the patient, the
injured subject was brought out to ambulance for transport to hospital.
