COMMENTS

8 Metchosin SAR members responded to search for 2 missing boys from a 
local recreation centre. SAR was stood down after it was reported  that 
the subjects had walked home.

COMMENTS

18 Comox Valley SAR members and 7 Arrowsmith SAR member responded to 
search the shoreline for 3 missing boaters. All 3 individuals were located 
after they spent 2 hours in the water and were able to swim to shore. They 
were taken to hospital for medical assessment.

3 Kelowna Fire Rescue members responded to investigate boaters in distress 
at Shelter Bay on Okanagan Lake. Four uninjured individuals were rescued 
and their boat was towed to shore.

21 Vernon SAR members responded to search for a missing female near Sugar 
Lake. She was located wet and cold on a remote logging road after getting 
she was caught in a thunderstorm.

6 Peachland Marine Rescue members responded to investigate report of an 
overturned boat on Okanagan Lake. The SAR group discovered a white post 
that had been mistaken for a boat.  The post was towed to shore.

9 North Shore Rescue members responded to rescue an injured mountain biker 
on the south aspect of Mount Seymour Provincial Park. The SAR group 
located the injured biker who suffered undisclosed injuries. He was taken 
to hospital by BCAS

search for a missing male in the area of Beaver Mouth Park near Quesnel.  
Subject was located deceased in the creek and turned over to the coroner.

diverted for an ELT sounding at the Langley Airport. They were able to 
quickly locate and shut down the transmitter.

3 Salmon Arm Highway Rescue members were called out after an aircraft 
rolled over at the Salmon Arm Airport. They were cancelled on scene as the 
pilot had climbed out without assistance prior to the rescue team's 
arrival.

called out to search for a missing 5 year old child in the Vedder area of 
Chilliwack River Valley.  SAR was stood down pending further investigation 
by RCMP.

backpack was found near Twin Bridges in Lynn Canyon.  The deceased was 
located in a canyon. SAR members assisted RCMP dive team members with the  
recovery.

his ATV flipped over on a trail outside of Logan Lake. SAR members brought 
the patient out to waiting ambulance.

8 Ridge Meadows SAR members responded to assist a 6 individuals from a 
boat that was stranded on Pitt Lake. SAR rescued 5 individuals including a 
5 month old baby. The boat owner was left on board to wait for high tide 
when the boat could be refloated and returned to shore.

distress on Pitt Lake.  On SAR teams arrival, the beached boat had already 
been assisted off the shore by another passing boater.
