How do you know it wasn't a word trap to see if you're all paying
attention? You boy at the back, stand still laddie when I'm talking.

No - just senior moment I'm afraid! I can remember my name and address,
but if you ask me what time it is, I forget where I live. Keep it a secret
though, or my kids might put me in a home:-)

Good try, but no cigar!

At times like this I usually default to taunt mode, and scribble off
something like:

In response to your comments, I beg to say that I feel gratitude for your
frankness, compassion for your fears, little dread of your opposition, and
no want of your support.

I remain sir,

Your affectionate friend.

Does that sound pompous and imperious or what!
Maybe I could start an insultancy?

See - just a tad over 1.5k, I'll keep the other 6.5k in reserve:-)

Write soon.
