ACA to review short-wave bands

The Australian Communications Authority (ACA) is to review the use by
Australian licensees of some high frequency (HF) short-wave radio bands. The
review affects certain bands between 4 and 10 MHz and will establish the need
for spectrum by current licensees in these bands, and whether there is unused
spectrum that could be allocated to broadcasters.
The WIA is also considering the possibility that this review gives it an
opportunity to seek a new amateur allocation around 5MHz.
