Campaign to improve TV amplifier installation

Improving the installation and maintenance of television masthead and
distribution amplifiers to prevent interference problems is the aim of a new
ACA information campaign. Television masthead and distribution amplifiers
used in television systems to increase the level of signal received can
produce radio signal interference.
Incorrectly installed or faulty amplifiers and associated cabling can cause
interference that affects broadcast television reception, two-way
radiocommunications, mobile phones, and the amateur radio service.
The ACA hopes its campaign will greatly reduce the interference problems now
resulting from poorly design or installed TV masthead amplifiers.
