I found myself nodding as I read:

Sigh.....

Sounds like a perfectly normal installation of Windows to me. 

Sad fact is that no company is ever satisfied with their software.  They
have to keep on adding bits and "enhancements" all of which take ever more
time to load, and then slow down the system they are feeding off. 
(Bloatware)

(Sigh....)  (again).

The answer is a faster computer, or a simplified environment for the
present one to work in.

The former option is, of course, exactly what hardware and software
manufacturers would have us do.  We are destined to be forever playing
leapfrog/upgrade with our computer / operating system / program regime.

It's really quite sad when you think about it ....
