Yes, you are right. I checked, there is also a delay in voice. Therefore, I realized that VOX is not a switching option. Found a circuit on the NE555P timer: https://4ham.ru/sobiraem-vox/

As I understand it, this is what is needed: when a signal is given, this external vox is triggered, to which you can adjust the delay and reduce it significantly (turn it off altogether)
On the demo (https://youtu.be/z_az7mLv8hU) it turns out to be very small, much smaller than the vox built into the baofeng.

Maybe, of course, there is something more powerful? Essentially, you just need an external vox with minimal delay (no delay at all) to trigger the PTT.
