Hallo,
well i do not use the Flexnet fer win 98 but i may help you with the
following:
I experienced familiar problems but not with the soundcard...i experienced as
i was using win98 in the earlier days,
and the problem i think is that win98 controlls the ressources for it self
not for dos applications,
so you musst only load the dos drivers also the flexnet stuff and win98
should not access the soundcard.
So you must disable the soundcard on the operating system win98,
also open the hardware manager (Click on "System" in the control panel) and
disable the soundcard...but not the drivers
i think the drivers are then still needed...by flexnet but the resources must
be loaded by flexnet and not windoze so
disable the soundcard in win98
