I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding you but can I make a point about
replying by SP as you are not alone in doing this, so this is just a
general observation.
If you just answer with an SP then although your answer may solve the
problem your information may be very useful to others who may pick up on
something as you have done with the SYSOP switch. That's a big benefit of
using the packet bulletin network.
I understand why some may be a little reticent about replying with a
bulletin as there are those who tend to lurk, ready to pounce on the
smallest point but I would suggest the benefits to the overall packet
network of replying by bulletin far outweigh the few brickbats that might
be generated.
If someone replies to just score points it's pretty obvious to us all,
simply ignore them, although I know it's all too easy to get drawn into
arguments just remember the sound of one person arguing is like the sound of
one hand clapping :-) Often I feel that people tend to take tongue in cheek
responses a bit too seriously.
So I encourage everyone to reply with an SB as I'm sure there are lots out
there that only read and don't join in so think about them when you reply
rather than the few impolite ones, we know who they are :-))
I'm going off to download 7plus after reading this thread as it's something
I've never tried.
