CQ RALLIES NEWS.

   Herewith the rally list update compiled from information available
on 28 March 2008. A fair few new ones.

   If a listing gives a website, then please visit that site and check
that the details I have given are still correct.

   Users of satellite navigation equipment would appreciate the inclusion
of a postcode or NGR reference in the information provided. Alternatively
a link to a mapping web page showing the rally site would be useful.

   Failing a website, if you are travelling some distance to a rally, it
could save time, money and disappointment if you phone the contact number to
check that all is well before setting off.  (On the other hand I know of
several club websites that are decades out of date ...)

Dunstable Downs Radio Club's Bootsale 2008, Stockwood Park, LU1 4BH, a few
minutes from the M1,J8, the main Luton Airport exit. The park houses the
Mossman Collection of horse-drawn vehicles, which is unfortunately closed for
re-furbishment until 12 July. Open 09:00/traders from 07:30. Admission/Parking
œ2.00 per vehicle. Full toilet facilities and catering. Plots are œ7.50 and
applications must be received no later than 5 May, after which plots will be
œ10.00 each (on the day). Please note that due to new hazardous waste
regulations, there will not be a skip this year - all unsold items and scrap

Leisure Centre, 32 High Street, Spennymoor, Co Durham, DL16 6DB. Please note this
a venue ideally suited for both trader and disabled as it boasts good parking and
access to large ground floor hall. There will be the usual radio, computer,
electronics and B&B stalls as well as catering and bar facilities. As you can
imagine, there is a lot to do for all the family within the confines of the leisure
centre for those of the family not interested in radio.
Doors open at 10:30 (10:00 for disabled visitors) Admission: £l:50 under 14s free of
