14 Central Kootenay SAR members responded to search for 2 individuals in
distress on Duck Lake near Creston. 1 individual made it to shore and was
transported to hospital. The other individual was found deceased and
turned over to the coroner.

31 SAR members from Alberni Valley Rescue Squad, Arrowsmith, Comox Valley,
West Coast, Lake Cowichan, Victoria and PEMO responded to search for a
missing mushroom picker in the area around Bamfield. The subject was
later located uninjured in Nanaimo and the teams were stood down.
