I collected my new Liteon LVW 5055GDL DVD Recorder/Player yesterday to
replace my 5045. This one has a 256MB HDD but the reason I mention it is
because it also handles DivX VOD, not that I shall require Video on
Demand as most of my recording is from television. It does handle MPEG4
and dual layer discs but I consider them to still be rather expensive so
they'll need to come down in price a lot more before I start recording to
them, even though this machine is capable of recording 11.5 hours of
material to a 8.5MB dual layer disc!

As I have said before, I have no vested interest in this brand other than
that I have always experienced superior performance from all of their
products that I have used. I also like that you can download the latest
firmware to keep their machines updated to latest media etc.,
The reason for such long time between starting this SB and finishing it is
because inbetween I was scouring mb21 and despite finding beautiful shots
of masts and even some risque ladies, no where could I find anything with
your name attached...
