Hi there,

I would like to get a video recorder that will record video at a
reasonable resolution. Then I wish to view the VCR via the LAN on my
computer.

This can be done for security videos at 25 frames per second. However this
has not enough quality to use to watch ever day TV that come with 50 fps
or higher.

The finished idea is to watch and control the PVR (Private Video Recorder)
on one of my LAN connected PCs. Can a PVR be connected over a LAN?

I suspect with a 1.7 GHz processor this is futile and I need to have a 3
GHz with multy core processor (start with top of the range new PC). The
pocket or wallet is highly restricted now and I would have to save up for
a year or two.

I do realise that there are copyright problem involved as well.

Do you have any ideas?
