You can learn something new every day. I've always included the &
because "I've always done it that way".

Thanks, Bo.

That is one of my problems Ray. Learnt a lot in the last few days and
will expand on that.
However, every thing I touched today turned to stone!!! Now I am off
to the swamp to test
a tnc....

Cheers

Take heart, Doug. The first fifteen years of Linux are the worst, and as
soon as you get it sorted out the goal posts move again.

But I assure you, it really is worth the effort. Once you've used Linux
for AR work you'll keep asking yourself, why did I use Windows for so long!

It appears I must of knocked the tnc out of the kiss mode. When I get a
little better at this stuff I want to automate the setup of the tnc a
bit just incase!! But it is an advantage having the test setup in the
den. I can look at the stuff coming in on the net, then turn around in
my chair and I am looking at two systems on the table behind me. One
running RH8 and the other Ubuntu 7.04. Both with fbb loaded and all
the ax25 stuff.

The one thing I have not been able to do, is us the CALL routine. The
LISTEN works well, but never gotten the call to work.. Ray I have been
collecting Linux systems at Dayton since they first started showing up.
Never did get it to work on my old Imsai !!

Take care
Doug
